March 12th, 2008, 06:09 PM
Hello everybody,

after few years with XP finally I installed Kubuntu on my old (and only) machine (2 x 550 MHz, 576 MB RAM) two days ago.

Although I got a driver sent for my USB-WLAN-antenna, I think it was better, to take an ethernetcard anyway and because our house-WLAN isnīt that stable. And I heared, get USB-WLAN running isnīt for Linux-newbies.
Iīm quite economical and sure, thereīs somebody having an old one left!?

Additionally I need a very long (>20 m) ethernetcable....

Donīt throw it away, but please just mail me -I will come and get it.

Thanx to everybody!

Best wishes,

Christian, Nijmegen / Netherlands

No more need for any materials, a very nice seller in a computershop just gave me an old card and a 20 m cable costed only 15 €.

Now I 'm happy, that I can already surf the web, although I'm still very new to ubuntu!!!

Greetz to everybody, have a nice day!
