View Full Version : Looking for a ftp program that can do file counts and size total

I have a unique situation here. I am trying to move a site from one host to another. The old host runs vDeck 1.0 so I have no access to accurate file counts, ssh, or other useful utilities that cpanel hosts provide.

For some reason Filezilla keeps missing directories and I have to keep going back and looking through a huge amount of folders and files to see what I missed.

So my question is, is there a program that can use ftp to just give me a file count, directory count, and size total?

I have seen some for windows but I really hate booting into xp if I can avoid it :)

FireFTP:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/684

It installs into Firefox under Tools > FireFTP.

Ok, so you are looking for an FTP client. It seems your are looking for a GUI client. At work I use a utility called ckermit which provides ftp capabilities (plus many others) and will log every transfer, then you can do some basic scripting to get the information from that log. Not sure if this is what you are looking, but hope it helps.
