What are YOUR favorite apps and their repositories?

Mine would be apache2 or firefox web browser, both found in the synaptic package managers default repositories.

Texmaker, seahorse, and thunderbird. Not sure where they are, but I didn't have to do anything too fancy to get them.

Then there's R . . . I added their repo to my sources.list file to get the latest versions.

I would say my favorites are OpenArena and Alien Arena (available in the default repos), and the Enemy Territory demo.

Is it possible to get rid of evolution, I've got my gmail account and gmail notify on my Linux box so I don't see why I need it.
