I'd say it is legal.. gpl doesn't mean there's no cost involved. GPL is about liberties.

I would be interested to see whether businesses like that one will willingly comply with the terms of the GPL with regards to providing the source code upon request, etc. But yes, it is definitely legal.

The GPL isn't even a law, violating it isn't illegal, merely a breach of contract. A contract backed up by copyright law, weirdly enough.

Yes.

They sell 13 dvds for $25 and you get a few linux distro's.

It's not even a bad deal.

Canonical also sell dvd's of ubuntu.

They are selling cd's, pieces of plastic + post and packaging. The fact that there is a distro on it is irrelevant. Distributing the Linux word ;)

A better one is: http://on-disk.com , They distribute Linux distros and with the profits, donate money back to different projects.I think that's cool.

It is definitely legal. They're supplying linux dvd's and charging for their effort in compiling the dvd's/sets etc. They are not strictly selling the operating system, they are recovering the cost of media and time for compiling the dvd's. It saves people doing it for themselves.
