Any good website creator programms

Posting this from school, are they're any website creating programms (ex microsoft frontpage) for Linux? are they in the repos? I was gonna make an impress document for this but PowerPOints are starting to bore me heh.

I used NVU to create a website for an assignment in high school. It was a nice replacement for MS Frontpage.

There are no good website creator programs, there are only good editors and good designers.

I don't recommend using WYSIWYG editors, and I recommend you search the forum for the other threads on this subject.

(I use Gedit, but Vim, Kate, KWrite and others are just as good)

There's always Openoffice.org. If I need to do something simple, I just use an old Windows version of Netscape Composer running in Wine.

I agree, in principle.
However, I can see a case for using WYSIWYG editors : to let someone who's not into hand-cooding html and css maintaine a (static) website (eg add / update content).

Someone has asked me if I could create a (small, simple) website to have web presence for a small non-profit organisation. I can do that, but I'm not interested in maintaining it (updating content, add announcements and news items, ..). She could probably do that with a WYSIWYG tool once I've set up the web site,

Kompozer will do what you want.

Remember, HTML itself is pretty easy to work with, and you'd have to learn it sooner or later, so you could start learning it now and reduce your need for Frontpage or Kompozer.
