seriously though, i laughed in the face of my partner at work when he said he was going to install a mini-version of winxp on his 4GB Eee.

Doesn't have MS Office because it won't fit, and IE6 runs quite slowly.

Great news!! The first time someone tries to install any Windows bloatware that eats up whats left of the flash disk, they are going to be disapointed. Virtually any current version of MS Office wont install. All the apps are "online" versions and the performance will be worse in comparision to the Xandros install.

The chances are they will search for "Windows xp Asus eeePC speed ups" at which point, the Linux community should sprinkle web sites with THESE keys words and YouTube the 15 seconds to boot to Xandros!!

Rather than the usual Anti Microsoft blurb, a REALLY positive marketing spin can be put on this. Have an eeePC. Want to see what it can REALLY do? Then check out Xandros Linux, eeeXubuntu or even Ubuntu on your eeePC!
