I'm pretty new to linux and my experience is limited to desktop edition of Ubuntu. Now I want to take a step further and for various reasons (electric bill, noise, space) I want to build a box running server edition of Ubuntu that combine the following:

1. A torrent box (utorrent on Wine, Deluge,Fluxbox or rtorrent).
2. MythTV/Mythbuntu with hardware encoding.
3. A regular internet browse/email/messenger activity (this is for security, I want to access internet only from linux).
4. File storage/backup box (encrypted) of my work files from another computer.

I know that hardware requirement can be high, but this is not a problem. Also, I want to know if Edubuntu is suitable for this instead of Ubuntu server edition.

If somebody have experience with this or something similar, please tell us. Thank you.

All 4 boxes (torrent, MythTV, regular internet activity and file storage) can be setup separately. Maybe the question is if all or a part of them can combined in a single machine.
