Bored, trying to figure out the UF bean system

i am very bored, so i've been looking though tones of pages to try and figure out the mysterious bean system. :shock:

The factors i know so far are:

time, very large factor (a couple people I've seen registered way back in 2005, and have only made about 15 posts, and have all brown beens)

number of posts( i know that once you get to about 90-100 posts your title changes to a carafe of Ubuntu and you have 3brown and 2 green)

infractions ( i'm not completely sure how this one works but i think that say you got a 10 point infraction, you get ten 'hypothetical' beens taken away)

were you post, i.e. your rachio of support posts to non-support posts.( i'm still about 50/50 on this one )


anyone else got any ideas? :-k

It's pretty much a secret that nobody knows, except for me: I hax0r3d ubuntuforums (with nobody noticing), became a mod for 30 mins and discovered many secrets. Like, for example, the staff picture is that of a 16oz Doppio Espresso (Yes, 16oz!):

I guess I'll just have to collect my beans and brew my own. /sad

A good cure for boredom is to tour the Forum FAQs.
