I really think that we should make the meeting minutes available to members who cannot participate in the physical meetings. I will gladly take the minutes for those meetings I am able to attend, but, unfortunately, work and school often keep me from making it out there. Would someone else be willing to volunteer to do this on a regular basis?
It's actually pretty simple. Just take notes on what's being discussed and any decisions made. If you do it in a laptop, that's even easier. Just send me the notes and I'll wikify them.
As an example, take a look at how I did the minutes for this meeting. (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MarylandTeam/Meetings/2007July19)
