Try this manual: http://www.linux-gamers.net/modules/wiwimod/index.php?page=HOWTO+NFSMW

I also have a current installation of wine (1.1.7) and have been trying to install Need For Speed Most Wanted. I found the linux-gamers manual with a simple google search and followed it.

The installer works just fine with one exception. This game is packaged on 4 CDs. The first cd is already copied to the hard drive and the installation launches just fine. When it asks for disk 2 I put it into my first DVD drive. Then it copies over those files. When it asks for disk 3, I try to remove disk 2, but the computer refuses to do so. So I use my second DVD drive and that works and it copies over the files. When it asks for disk 4, I have no more empty DVD drives to put it in. Also, the computer insists that both of the other cdroms are currently in use and it refuses to unmount them.

I think the next thing I'm going to try is making iso's of disks 2-4 and then try to use a virtual cdrom of some sort.

So, MantinoX, have you been successful with this yet? If so, how did you manage your way around this problem?
