the terminal font is Liberation Mono Bold. if no one else posts in this thread i'll at least have a reference for future installs lol

Defaults. They're clean and easy to read. I never understood how people can work with those Matrix-style squared off fonts or everything all bolded and whatnot.

i try not to play a round with my font preferences now. it can make you pretty dizzy going through 100s of fonts, trying to find the ones you like best lol. i'm going to just stick with the ones i've got from now on, i hope ;)

Liberation Serif and Liberation Sans, but FreeMono for my terminal. I like serif'd monospace fonts.

Everything is set to Verdana, including the terminal.

Big fan of the Liberation fonts here too. Never really had too much of a problem with the defaults, but once I'd tried Liberation I made the switch. They're very nice indeed.

I usually keep the default font, but this font is very similar to it.

Mostly Liberation Sans. In the rare situations that I use a serif font, Liberation Serif is generally my choice. For the terminal and other monospace stuff, I use DejaVu Sans Mono. I'd use Liberation Mono, but the O and 0 are too difficult to tell apart without the telling dot in the 0.

I use the defaults, with subpixel smoothing on. I tried the Liberation fonts, but they don't look better than the default fonts to me.

Where do you get fonts like AquaBase, Luxi and Helvetica? They're not included by default on Ubuntu 7.10.
