What if those of us who had websites, blogs, and the like all went about trying to Google bomb Ubuntu? We could try to get Ubuntu high in the ranks when someone searches for "microsoft," "vista," "windows," etc.

Now, some people may have moral issues with this, but to my knowledge it violates no law. So, if this thread is inappropriate, I apologize in advance. Just thought it would be funny to do!

i'm fairly certain google keeps tabs on this sort of activity and removes it once seen.

They've changed/added an algorithm, probably won't work.

What a stupid idea. Not only does Google ban Google-bombed phrases, but it's just promoting Ubuntu in an immature, unethical way.

Actually Google takes pride in the no human intervention nature of their search engine. They only manually tweak their search results in rare circumstances. (Porn coming in the first search results for "Disney", etc.)
