Not so fast! While the 'eh' is mandatory, we first need to know what hockey team he roots for. :D

I haven't followed hockey the last few years much, but was a crazed fan and player for many years and proudly, loudly always hated the Leafs. It filled me with such joy as the braindead fans cheered the crappy team year after year to a lovely, abrupt 1st or 2nd-round exit :D :D

I also started to dig the Oilers when Gretzky left :D

I, too, have stopped closely following the game. I poke my head into the sports pages from time to time as a distraction, but that's about it.

It's funny that Americans always praise us for our good beer. Although Alexander Keith's is my second favourite, Stella Artois easily comes in number one.

Hello fellow Canucks (and one wannabe)

I proudly display my Captain Canuck avatar, with the "Los Pumas" emblem on my chest. No Canadian football, no Hockey Night in Canada, no Baseball here (34°35'W - 58°21'S), so like my Scottish Grandmother (immigrated to Montreal) always used to tell me, "Rugby is a man's game", hence I've become a Rugby Fan.

pfft. You can tell who lives in cities. Silly people... milk comes in cows. :D

And I can tell who doesn't! Because it comes from cows.

;)

NO! Milk is IN the cows before it is taken out. Just ask any calf that's still feeding off the teats. :) And trust me, right out of the teat into a glass and drunk ... mmmmmmmmmm! Or if it was Clarence doing it, teat ... wide arc ... my mouth. :)

Didn't anybody tell you?

Anyone that come from "somewhereovertherainbow" is automatically an Honorary Canadian if the right conditions are met?

All you have to do is drink a pint of Canadian beer while running circles around a Maple tree without falling during the wedding between one of your children and a Canadian, and it's a done deal.

Of course there are other ways of becoming an Honorary Canadian too.

CHIMO!

You pass 'cos you're trying. :D

Actually, I find that most Canadian (mass-produced) beer isn't a whole lot better than US (mass-produced) beer. Craft beers, on the other hand, are now readily available in both countries and are usually quite good.

Stella Artois is Belgian, I believe. Beer "snobs" often claim the best beers come from there. (Has to do with their open fermentation and unique natural yeasts.) Sadly, I've never been there to be able to express an opinion. :(

OV Splits is the best beer, ... OV splits was found in Syracuse NY at Wegmans and Canada.
Molson Golden Ale was the best available beer here in the U.S. ...drank a lot of it in the late 70's.

Greetings from snowland! (Ottawa)

Another Canadian for the list. =] I wonder when it's going to stop snowing. The snow now reaches the top line of my fence. I no longer have a backyard - just a snowbank.

I don't like beer, though. Doesn't matter if it's Canadian, American, Belgian.. or whatever. It all tastes like..well, i'm actually not even going to go there. Ha.

Poutine is wonderful. So is milk in a bag - wonderful for throwing at someone when they've peeved you. Muhahaha. ..As long as it doesn't burst.

Senators fan. Leafs hater. My best friend is a Red Wings fan though.. that has caused some heated 'discussions' in the past.

It's 4AM, and I have no idea why i'm not in bed. Goodnight!

Born in the Montreal Children's Hospital, and spent the first 5 years of my life in Verdun. Then I started moving, Goose Bay, Labrador, Calgary Alberta, Portage la Prairie, Man, Toronto, and more. Step father was in the R.C.A.F. and I joined the military as well.

Ps : I'm sorry if you dont speak french but I assume if someone is from montréal he's speaking french.

When I was 5, yes, also I haven't used French in over 30 years now. Please don't be sorry, not your fault and it's a reasonable thing to assume.

¿Hablas español? I'm learning. :)

Oh my! Gag-town. :(

Only been there once, to visit a friend. That was enough, I was R.C.A.F. until they changed the game plan and I became one of those Carlton Hotel guys in a green uniform.

Or a train porter. That was so funny, a little old lady asked me one day to take her bags to the counter in Union Station in Toronto. I did and when she went to tip me, I refused telling her I was in the Air Force! "But I thought you were a porter!", she said.

SIGH!!!!

Yep, on my machine, at home, that I use primarily as a server. It works and I don't want to mess up the services it's running by doing an upgrade. Why fix it if it's not broken? I also run 7.10 as a PDC at work and dual-boot at work too. (Win2k and 7.10).

Come celebrate in the sun with thousands of people and then party the night away.

(this is not spam, I saw people asking what to do in Montreal over the weekend, although it was last week...)
