I could see how the "Philadelphia" search would be practical, and practically implemented. I've been wanting something of a search function like that - sometimes I come across a word I don't know the meaning, or a celebrity name that I can't pin a face to.

In fact it's already implemented in some kind of online advertising. You hover over a word and a dialog will appear.

However the building search can be harder to implement. I can think of a method to identify buildings (eigenfaces) but you really can't know who's in what office and his schedule for simple reasons such as data protection and privacy.

Eitherway the information addict in me will be looking forward to such a device, even not as pictured ;)

One thing we can conclude, there is no shortage of ideas!
