hi to all,

It's not really me soliciting input :)

AnandTech has a blog post buy one of it's reviewers.

To quote:

"Now the reason that we're soliciting advice first is due to a matter of timing. Ubuntu is on a six-month release schedule with the next version due in April. If we were to start our month-long experiment next week, our........."

And:

" So we would like to hear back from our readers and Linux users. Would you rather see this kind of a review done......."

Well, whom is your review aimed at? "Home users" or "business users"? Just curious because the support time also plays a role for business users. If you are aimed at business users you could also review the upgrade from 6.06 LTS to 8.04 LTS.

Well, another issue that I get with reviews is, that it very much depends also on your hardware. If you have a nVidia or Intel card or a supported wifi-chip, things are a breeze at installing and running. However if you have unsupported hardware, it can be a challenge setting the hardware up correct - or it might not work at all.
