Newb that needs help

Hello all i am having some issues here and think its just stupidity but hoping that i may be able to get some help.

1. dont have any idea how to setup and allow ssh connection to my system so i can learn from local friends.

2. what is the command i need to show avalible commands or get help with commands.

any help would be appericated.
