i like the xp windows border and the fake and alarming virus names. spyware.monster.b ... b... is that some sort of new file type? this is serusly one of the most ineffective scams iv seen. even if i was using xp it would still be crappy lol.

Argh you've got a virus! Your gonna have to format your harddrive - I'd recommend installing Ubuntu (http://www.ubuntu.com) while you're at it.

Oh wait...

I'm astounded scammers are still doing this and people are still falling for it..
It's hilarious to see such a warning pop up on a Linux machine though!:lolflag:

Maybe you should report them to Microsoft, It seems like they might not be authorized to use the Windows XP logo. and at the the very least copying the "look and feel" of Windows XP.

Of course they're not authorized to use the logo or theme. They're also not authorized to perform phishing attacks or to install trojans on your computer, but that doesn't seem to stop them.

If malware could be stopped via trademark actions, it would have disappeared long ago.

Yeah, but its fun to contact them, just to give their lawyers something to do and waste some of their time. They've wasted enough of my time, so its only fair.

Plus, I like to reply to my ISP when they e-mail me about how I'm getting such a good deal and through the kindness of their hearts they've given me a free download of brand name anti-virus (a $100 value): I always ask for a rebate on my cable bill since I have no need for it.

I dunno, that looked pretty convincing. You should probably put your porn browsing on hold for a while so the scan can delete the viruses it picked up:)
