I have to admit my wallpaper stash is getting stale. I was wondering where you guys got yours from.
I usually hit
http://www.deviantart.com
and http://www.interfacelift.com
whenever I'm a bit low on the eye candy
Edit: Found this while I was looking: http://www.e-wallpapers.info

many I just make myself, or modify nice photos I come across.

I also really like fractals - check out the ones at Visual Paradox (http://visualparadox.com/) and Blatte's (http://exoteric.roach.org/frax/index.html)

I have a huge folder of Linux/BSD wallpapers, 26 MB of wallpapers or something like that. Some are sophisticated, some are funny, it's a pretty good stash to have around. I'll Mediafire it when I get home.

Mine are almost always the latest picture I have made myself, either using Blender, GIMP, or Fyre.
But when I don't use my own pictures, I am usually looking for a specific picture, and in that case I go here (http://images.google.com/imghp?hl=en&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2)

Wow, I didn't know Google offered that. Is that a new feature?

first off, look around the *-look sites at all the wallpapers. Each one of the *-look sites has it's own wallpaper cache.

Also, look at art.ubuntu.com, and art.gnome.org.

Then try http://deaddreamer.com

I do a search in Google Image search, where I set it to only return large images, then type in interesting keywords.

If I need wallpapers I usually check the following sites:

1. google images
2. gnome art
3. gnome look
4. kde look
5. deviant art

If I didn't find something I liked I download a wallpaper pack torrent and 99% of the time they have at least 1 decent wallpaper.

If I want a girl as my background there is only one place to go to:

I liked
e-sh.ru
But they changed the interface lately and now it's pain to operate. And firefox thinks it's an attack site. It got some good stuff, though.
