The second part of that interview with Linus Torvalds, by Jim Zemlin (OpenVoices podcast) was released a while ago.

Really good interview. Thoughtful and informative, as before.

A shame that their RSS feed only has the latest item; I had to manually write the first part into my reader for the sake of consistency. Maybe I am just weird.

A few notable items:

Competition!
Linus has never maintained a Linux-based server. He is focused entirely on desktops. Nice points made about why desktops are unique...
I really liked the discussion on innovation. It is rare for something to be perfect the first time, and a cleanup that makes it perfect is as much a revolution as the idea was in the first place. It doesn't matter who dreamed it, but who did it.It is required listening.
