I was wanting to register on one of the opensuse forums. There are several listed on Distrowatch. Which one is better, and why are they so splintered? Which one does most of the suse users here use?

www.suseforums.net has over 25,000 members and 221,795 posts

www.opensuse.us has over 4282 members and 16668 posts

The official Novell forum has 3,865 members with 36,823 posts in the Suse section.

So I would say that the Suseforums.net is the most active with the novell site coming in second. I haven't really looked at any others.

You can also try the openSUSE mailing lists. They seem to at least feel more active then the forums.

I'm on both of the listed forums, and suseforums is the most active of the two, though openSUSE.us will give you a free email account if that kind of thing is important to you. Have a lot fun!

Yeah, and it's an openSUSE.us branded gmail account which I found to be pretty cool.

I have one that I use for my linux mailing lists. It's great! Full IMAP and POP access, all that Gmail goodness!

This is a good one. I have just gotten back into opensuse with 10.3. They have already helped me quite a bit.
