I'd like to know how I could add a webpage to a wireless 2wire router. That is, whenever somebody connects to the router, s/he should be directed to a webpage automatically. This page contains some information. S/he should then be able to access internet normally.

sounds like you would need some sort of firmware hack to do that. Generally there isnt a method for uploading a file to the router, as you would just port forwad incoming http requests to a machine with the page on, acting as a server. If you want to do that, its pretty simple to set up? But it would mean that you need the server machine on all of the time?

The feature you're looking for is "captive portal". I don't know if the router you have supports it, but a search for captive portal 2wire turned up a few results.

I only know one router who can do it (for a reasonable price).
A router with dd-wrt firmware (http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php?title=NoCatSplash). @ home i use a Linksys WRT54GL router with dd-wrt on. Total cost €50,00.

But I don't use the hotspot function. You can also look into fon (http://www.fon.com/en/).

Another way (i think) is placing a pc between the router and the modem. (Router - PC - modem). The PC need to run all the time, so you might thinking about buying a pico-ATX PC, what will cost about €200 - €300.
