Beginner Programmnig

Hey, I've been kinda interested in getting into programming in Linux. Where would be some good places to start to get an introductory guide, or just something that can give a good explanation of it?

You can check LaRoza's wiki (http://laroza.pbwiki.com/), since it seems you haven't chosen a language yet i'd also suggest you look at python (http://docs.python.org/tut/tut.html).
