Also thinking about adding a "personal" laser printer to my hardware collection. My inkjet (Epson Stylus C82) works fine, but I do mainly text...and I'm on my 3rd black cartridge while still running the original color pots...

A nforce4 SLI motherboard
2 GeForce 6800 Ultras
and the HP 23" LCD monitor mentioned in this month's MaximumPC magazine.

Heck, for that matter, anyone that reads that mag, everything in the "Gear of the Year" list. :D (I've been an extra good boy this year)

New shoes.. I worn my trusty boots out and I'm sadly in a situation where I have no money, no job and a cronic illness that prohibits me from getting any of the before mentioned items... So new boots, and maybe some new clothes, would make me happy.

My inkjet (Epson Stylus C82) works fine, but I do mainly text...and I'm on my 3rd black cartridge while still running the original color pots... Christmas came early (& I gave it to myself)! I found an HP LaserJet 6P in really good condition at my local Salvation Army thrift store - for $30.00US! Did the connections, fired everything up & Ubuntu (Warty) found it right away...no muss, no fuss. I guess there <is> a Santa Claus!

BTW - Salvation Army (& other) thrift stores can be good places to find odd bits of hardware, including not-quite-the-latest CPUs that are just fine for a lot of Linux-related stuff...

Weird being so close to the holidays I haven't thought of what I want! Probably because I'm used to not getting anything *plays violin*

But I have my kitty and we survived the fire!

Maybe a laptop? I dunno. I haven't thought about what I want for Christmas, I've been too busy brainstorming on what others might want hehe :)
