I have used Handspring Treos for about 5 years now and am ready to move on. It's a great bit of kit, but I'm sick of the uncertainty of Palm/PalmSource/Access craziness.

I'm looking for a smartphone that will sync nicely with Ubuntu.

I was looking at the Nokia E90, and I figure Nokias will have pretty good support (being so prolific) but was wondering if anyone had any experience of using the two together.

Ideally I'd like my calendar to sync to a master version and syncronized across all my PCs, but I don't mind crossing that bridge when I get to it.
Right now I'd just like a phone that plays nicely and has decent bluetooth and wireless.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Thanks all.

Don't know if you can wait a few month more, but the first android (http://code.google.com/android/) phones will be introduced a few months from now. And it seems that this is going to become a very interesting free software platform to write applications on.

Btw, I just bought a nokia n800 internet tablet running linux, and I'm very happy with it. But the n800 is not a phone, so it is probably not what you want.
