Would an Ubuntu keyboard suit you?

I would have to say that the all time best keyboard (that I have ever used) would be the Saitek Eclipse. It types great, and looks pretty cool...check it out:

I actually have one of those to. I use it on my gaming computer and i have had it for 6 months now and its lasted pretty well. But the spacer broke on that. Lets say that i am not easy on keyboards

The most robust keyboard I have ever used was the noisy one by IBM. See this thread:

my father had that very same IBM keyboard for probably over a decade before it finally gave out. he was kind of depressed when it died actually. lol

as for me i do ok with the standard 8 dollar keyboards :p. although i am intrigued about that Dvorak keyboard style. i would like to try it.

DAS Keyboard II.

It's the same key switch design as the cherry keys in the M series keyboards. Very slick feel and good for anyone needing touch type layout.

Excellent keyboard, but completely foolish to pay so much for a keyboard without labels. You'd think it'd cost less than a plain black labeled board.

I wish they made a ergonomic style board. I can't stand regular boards I cramp up to fast. and I type slow.

I still can't figure out why the Saitek's are so popular. Must be the lightshow.

It doesn't have to be dvorak, you shouldn't need to look at the keys to touch type in dvorak.
But, if you insist on having the keys moved around to the dvorak keyboard layout, then don't get a logitech G11 or G15 keyboard, the keys have different moulds underneath that mean you can't physically move the keys around.

I'm a very good dvorak typist here, just use a qwerty keyboard that you like and leave you computer setup as is (default to using dvorak keyboard layout).
