so following on from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=669553 here are a few usefull foss petitions for the UK

Agree. Top 3 listed are all relevant.

But numbers who have signed are minimal.....

This was a single case study - BECTAs 2005 report is much more positive (and specific to schools).

Some of the comments in that thread explain why it was "expensive" - this is an official response: http://www.techworld.com/opsys/news/index.cfm?newsid=7459

your right, the Birmingham trial was a **** up

and if done properly would have cost less than windows
