This thread is for finding the real gems of music on Jamendo. If you dig through some of the stuff, you'll strike gold!

Here's my favourite artist so far on Jamendo:

JT Bruce: The Dreamer's Paradox (http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/3317) - A fantastic instrumental Progressive Metal album, especially for such an indie artist. Obviously not quite the height of true prog metal, but very close. Thinking about it, the music's a cross between Muse and Dream Theater. Highlights include tracks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9. It ranges from synth to heavy guitar playing to piano to psychedelia and back again in a single track.

I have a taste that's more pop-oriented (not metal, trance, or new age), so the only gems I've found so far are Hey Girl (http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/521/) by Mel's and Soul Poetic (http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/eva.garcia/) by Eva Garcia.

Many different tastes here.
I prefer old chiptunes and remixes of these.
So my favourites are:
Binärpilot http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/binaerpilot
Pornophonique http://www.jamendo.com/en/artist/pornophonique

For now, but there will surely come more.

Chili 1970 (http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/904) was the album that convinced me to sign up...

Ghostown (http://www.jamendo.com/en/album/9516) is some pretty trippy "folk hop".
