I thought I'd posted this question, but I can't find it in the forums now. Sorry if it's already there.

The question is: have any books been published about Ubuntu yet? My loacal bookstore has many books on specific Linux distros, but nothing on Ubuntu. It would be great to see one on the bookshelves!

Nothing for Ubuntu specifically, but I have the Debian Bible (http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0764576445/ref=sib_dp_pt/102-1060151-7317752#reader-link) and practically everything in that book would apply to Ubuntu.

I'd go for a non-distro-specific Linux book, if you can find one. I use "How Linux Works" on No Starch Press. Good reading for newbies.

Its very out of date but the book Learning Debain/GNU linux (1999) is available for free online:
http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/debian/chapter/book/index.html

from the oreilly openbooks project:
http://www.oreilly.com/openbook/

anyway it has at least some useful info - somethings don't change that fast
