7 Feb is my guess! Prognosis is based on daily membership growth of 1k +.

I've never sat back and calculated how many join at a certain span, but I definately know we'll be over 500K by April ;)

Canonicals guess of 6-12 million Ubuntu users is looking a lot more real now..

There's a usual 7-9k of people online.

And, I'm glad that Ubuntu is a starting point for many people here.

I'm going to go ahead and guess May 7th 2008. I figure the number will be hit either right before Hardy, or close after.

My prediction - 5-10 Feb - seems on target!
8 or 9 Feb AEST!?

NB: Taking into consideration other non-English language Ubuntu forums and lists, total membership is more likely to be 750K+! The French, German and Chinese language forums alone have more than 150k memberships.
