View Full Version : Slow MacBook Airport

I've found this on a couple of sites, but not much..has anyone else had this problem?

I reinstalled Mac OS X (10.5) on my 2.2Ghz Santa Rosa Macbook a few times due to some leopard bugs, clean installs, all hardware working, including Airport. i reinstalled again due to some bugs with safari and firefox, after the install the Airport connection was deathly slow. It takes 40 seconds or so to load the ubuntu homepage, similar results for others.

My PC (running both Gutsy and Windows) gets a full-speed wifi connection, and its about two feet away from the Mac.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

I experienced the same last week. I switched to cable-network and had fast connection, When decoupled the cable and switched back to wireless everything works as expected!!!

For now when starting up my macbook pro I have again the slow wireless connection, Then I open network connections and choose "Build-in network -> Advance. Do nothing. Then go back and choose "update"
Your wireless is up to max speed.
