MACWORLD SAN FRANCISCO—January 16, 2008—Apple® today unveiled Manila® Case®, the world's thinnest case for the world's thinnest laptop (http://gizmodo.com/345051/apple-macbook-air-is-worlds-thinnest-notebook-looks-absolutely-amazing), the MacBook Air (http://gizmodo.com/345115/macbook-air-hands+on). When empty, Manila Case measures an unprecedented 0.07-inches at its thinnest point, but its dynamically adaptable height goes up to a maximum of 6.9-inches, adapting perfectly to the MacBook Air shape as well as to a standard* Reuben sandwich, made with pastrami, sauerkraut, swiss cheese and russian dressing on rye bread.http://gizmodo.com/345406/apple-introduces-manila-casethe-worlds-thinnest-notebook-case

Oh man. What will Apple think of next?!

Hey I got a bunch of those in my bottom draw. I guess I can compete with Apple on case sales.

Get your MacBook Air case, starting at $1. Tie Dye cases starting at $5.

thats hilarious, i too watched the Air intro and was like... WTF? who wants a computer with no media drives and no balls that costs more than twice as much as a comparably powerful model which does everything. Apple is the type of company that would charge 300$ for a manilla envelope and another 20$ for a string... nothing against apple just crazy prices and DRM on iTunes ticks me off... they take advantage of less educated consumers. Then again if it was my business i would probably run it the same way.

Is the inside padded in some form or fashion (namely bubbles, but neoprene is fine)? Also, could I mail the MacBook Air via USPS in that and have it arrive intact?

The Kabbalah string thing made me laugh out loud. :)
