Google has:

www.google.com/linux

and

www.google.com/bsd

I think it filters your search result to what's relevant for your OS.
I though it was useful but it's probably just a shortcut for some filtering syntax I don't know.

Hm, interesting thanks for the info I will use the /linux one every time I need to know something about my favorite OS

Cool... I'll bookmark it.

A cool non-Google (its not theirs) but googly thing is Google fights. (http://www.googlefight.com/). It automatically googles two terms and they "fight" for the most hits returned.

Try:

vi vs Emacs
Gnome vs KDE
Linux vs Windows
Ubuntu vs Vista

Go look for some old screenshots of Google back when it started. Links to those were on the front page.
