too bad he didn't go more in depth on how he did it..

do you think he had to put windows XP on it because of the drivers/software for the touch screen? Although I know you can use linux on touchscreens and palm's etc lol

No idea but there should be touchscreens that have linux drivers/software.

i hate touch screens, too much fingerprint/smudging

For a screen that small many people will prefer a touchscreen. Think iPhone. But that's just my opinion anyways.

well i would never buy either but i see the point

still better get a screen protector

and incase your one of those apple fanboys whose flamed me before, the iphone wasnt the first phone with a touch screen

In the case of the Eee touchscreen mod, a new transparent touchscreen device is fitted over the screen, so it also acts as a screen protector.

While this (http://tinyurl.com/yrzsxp) isn't an Asus Eee, it would seem that touchscreens and Linux will work together nicely.
I reckon it's just a matter of time till someone gets the Eee touchscreen mod working with Linux.
