how can one find one's own threads, other than by going to advance search and searching for one's own name?

also, is there a way to "watch" a thread.

Find one of your own posts, click on your name, and then view your profile. This is different from going to User CP.

It's also in the Quick Links.

Just bookmark a link: dunja's posts (http://ubuntuforums.org/search.php?searchid=1734248).

Another way to find your own threads is to look at the list of active users at the bottom of the page, click your name, and look on the left-hand side. You'll see a couple of links about all your posts and just posts you've started.

You can watch a thread by subscribing to it. You can subscribe when you're replying to a thread (full reply...look under the text box), when you're viewing a thread (look under Thread Tools at the top), or you can set an option to subscribe to every thread you post in (look in your account options).

Search links expire after a while, so this will soon be useless. Macgyver2's method on top works best.

Yes. Click on Thread Tools ---> Subscribe to thread. That would email replies and add it to your subscribed menu in your UserCP

You can also make "subscribe to threads" the default when you post if you want to do so in User CP--> Edit Options under Messaging & Notification
