Video booth

New years day (00:01) I proposed to my girlfriend and am getting married in 2009 (so she said yes btw)

She did however enquire at whether we could setup a video booth - to record clips (perhaps just a few seconds long - perhaps 30sec-1min?) for people to leave at the party after the wedding.

Any OS projects about for this kind of thing? Or anyone got a good idea how to do it?

So you mean something that utilises a webcam and has a timer (probably displayed) and a Record/Stop function and then can organise and sort everything later?

Sounds like a cool project if it doesn't already exist, you could post a bounty, it would easily be done by 2009.

yes - very similar. it's been done by some guy in the UK already - but he's charging the full rental of the booth etc - then there is all the hassle of getting it. I'm sure it's fairly easy to write an app like this!

I'm a programmer, but a lazy one - I was hoping someone was going to say "oh yes, it's called x"
