Question lang po... i was trying to install the software for my P990i but it won't work even in wine.

Any suggestion?

Use blueman to configure the bluetooth

for the software you can use wammu

i use this for my k610i and n92 cp

Meron daw P990i na Ubuntu, hindi ba puede sa USB cable mo connect?

actually the phone is detected but it's detected as a USB Storage Device.

Yup... tama si pinoytechie... tap mo "phone mode"... k800i gamit ko ok nman sya ginagamit ko rin syang modem for internet.

Yung phone ko din nagmamaktol pag data cable ang gamit, hindi ma-sync. Minsan tinotopak pa kahit tratuhin na storage device lang. Ang ginagawa ko dati, hugot na lang ng memory card tapos pasok sa card reader ng printer ko para makapag-transfer ng files.

Sa Bluetooth ko siya nagagamit nang matino ngayon. Ang pang-sync ko, MultiSync. Tapos nag-install din ako nung "Bluetooth File Sharing". Ayos naman so far.

By the way, ang phone ko naman w810i.

I just got my P990i. Di ko alam kung paano madetect ng Ubuntu. San mahahanap yung phone mode? Sobrang nanwiwindang pa ko sa interface. Symbian newb eh. Hahahaha!

wersdaluv..... connect mo lang yung datacable then auto may lalabas na menu "file transfer, phone mode, print picture (yun sakin kasi K800i gamit ko).

Ay ok na. Naconnect ko na nga siya. Wala nga lang ako magawa with it other than pag-sync ng contacts sa Wammu. Tsk tsk tsk. Gusto ko sana mag-sync calendar at tasks, at maginstall ng mga apps.
