I am looking for a powerful PDA phone that works well with Ubuntu. By that, I mean, it can be synced well, I can install apps to the phone with Ubuntu, etc.

What phone can you suggest?

I'm using a Palm Treo 650, and it works quite well with Linux. Ubuntu has pretty good support for Palm devices. The phone may be a bit dated, but I love it. It has everything that I need :)

Wow. Really? No problem with syncing, avantgo, installing apps? :)

No problems at all. I don't use avantgo... but yeah, it'll sync. And install apps. And do all that other stuff.

You can't go wrong with a PalmOS-based phone thinger.

The OpenMoko Fic Neo1973 is supposed to be released (full version...developer version's been out for a couple months) at the end of next month. The whole phone is open source :)
