we're a webradio and audio archive, located in vienna/austria.
we have a vast archive (about 2000) of dj mixes, including our radio shows, event recordings, and studio mixes. they're all in 128 kbps mp3 format.

it would be very important for us to put a jingle into every single set we got. it'd be a huge amount of work (human and computer) and waste of resources to get each set decoded to wav (with audacity for example), put jingles into it at let's say every 15 minutes and encode it back to mp3. additionally, we'd lose quality because of decoding/encoding. so we need an interactive, text based application that:

- cuts a small part out of the set
- decodes the let's say 10 second part to wav
- mixes a jingle over the wav, of course lowering the volume of the original sound
- encode the new 10-second-part back to mp3
- put the new part back into the set

...of course automating the process.

we'd then run the application/script over each file, which is still a lot of work but would save us a LOT of time and resources

we don't really care if it's a "sum of the parts" or an independent application.

we're completely non-for-profit, but i think we could even pay for the application. it'd also be a great service for the underground music community.
