Yup. Something has to be done or else we'll be filled with one time member who would just post for spam.

Very true.. We filter out tons of stuff when we import from our mailing list dumps but as the spammers get creative it gets harder. Sometime in the near future we will need todo a server upgrade and at that time will improve the spam filtering on our mail server.

I dont understand the mailing lists... It shows up here, yet people dont post it? I dont get it... Isnt a mailing list when you sign up for a newsletter or something?

Why not just not include the mailing lists (only registered users can post). It never used to be this way did it? How come the fedora forums dont get ne spam?

I know you guys (Mods, Admins) do a great job and i dont think that it is because you are being lazey that we are getting spam. Just that we should be able to stop it by not letting the guests post. or only letting.

I've seen spam posts here in the community section before, and reported it to the mods so that the person responsible can be impaled.
