View Full Version : [SOLVED] best printer for A3 photos?

Hi there.

Someone asked me what I thought was the best printer out there at the moment to print high quality A3 photos. Apparently one of the requirements is that the print needs to last for 100 years (I guess some printers print prints that only last a few years?).

So this is not technically an Ubuntu question, although I'd be particularly interested in this community's input.

There are some large format printers suggested here:

If you want high quality prints, it might be more cost effective to go to a pro photography lab and get them done there - be alot cheaper too. I print alot of photos and its simply not cost effective for me to do any serious printing at home. I do everything through a lab - the results are better and it costs a fraction of home printing per copy.

Printer ink is ridiculously overpriced.

thanks. the guy who asked me about the printer read that page, and it sounds like it validated his choice in printer.
