I wrote a couple of poems for Christmas and New Year recently. I would like to hear anything you might have to say about it, critics are welcome as well.
Merry Christmas
Be it summer, winter or a hailstorm,
You'll always be there in my mind.
I wish we remain friends forever,
Through the ages, yes, forever and ever.
'Cause this Christmas I did realize,
Life without friends is not a real life.
I may be a little late to say "Merry Christmas",
but hey, at least I remembered.
Happy New Year
Its that time of the year
The one we call New Year
The end of one and beginning of another year
Its time to take resolutions
Which we know will be broken
So what is the point, you may ask
I would say "Mental satisfaction"
Even with the flowers and singing and dancing everywhere
I just keep wishing that you were over here
Wherever you are, whoever you're with
To you, my dear friend
I just want to say "Happy New Year"
So let the countdown begin
Let the party heat up
Its time to rejoice
After all, it is the beginning of a new year.
Oh, and it goes without saying that I wish the entire Ubuntu community and staff a very Happy New Year (Christmas is already gone).
