How do you turn the HTML on in this forum?

I don't think you can turn html on, but if you want to italicize, underline, or make words bold, then all you have to do is replace the < and > with [ and ].

Links that start with http://.... are automatically formatted.

I don't know hot to do img tags, perhaps someone else does.

It's probably turned off so that people don't start using different fonts and font colors and tables and all the other stuff that html uses that is handy but also very annoying when it's 3am and you're about to go to bed and different fonts and font colors hurt your eyes cuz you've been up for hours and hours on end.

It's only 11pm right now, contrary to what that ridiculously long run-on says.

I think that it's turned off so that people don't abuse the features of html which make reading difficult. Now, that's not to say that everyone who uses html would abuse it, but, at least on the other vBulletins there are trolls who like nothing more than to be a nuisance.
