i know it is a small picture 300x??? but i wanted to save bandwidth, you can get an idea as to what it looks like from the pic. if you want a large .png image of the art you can private message me and i will email it to you. the cd package comes with two cds, the live cd and the install cd. all the cds are the intel x86 edition. the caption under the ubuntu logo reads "linux for human beings."
the caption under the ubutu live cd reads:
this "live cd" contains a full ubuntu desktop installation that you can safely try on your windows-based computer without installing anything to your harddisk. to try the live cd, place the cd in your cd-rom drive and reboot your computer. if unbutu does not load, check that your computer is configured to boot from the cd-rom drive. you should have at least 128MB of ram to use the live cd.
this cd also contains windows version for serveral of the applications included in ubuntu. to install the open source software for windows, place this live cd in your cd-rom drive while in windows and follow the instuctions that appear on your screen.
the ubuntu install cd text:
this cd contains the installable version of ubuntu for intel x86 computers. you can use the cd to install ubuntu to your computers hard drive. to use the cd, place it in your computers cd rom drive and reboot your computer. then follow the instructions on the screen. if the ubuntu installer does not load, check that your computer is configured to boot from the cdrom drive and that you have an intel x86 computer. please note that default installation procedure for ubuntu is designed for new computers and will replace all existing software and data on your computer. an expert installation mode that will retain your existing software and data is available - see the options during installation for more details.
to install ubuntu you should have at least 32 mb of ram. you should have space on your hard drisk to create a new disk partition of at least 1.8 GB for a standard ubuntu desktop system, or at least 250 MB for a minimal custom installation.
