How bad/good is relocating in Luxembourg for work?

Greetings everybody,
I have a good chance to move in Luxembourg for work.

I was wondering if someone is already living there and can tell me something about it, like:
- is life good or not?
- people are friendly or not?
- do you have interesting sentimental opportunities?
- how good are salaries?
- other things, like social life, etc

well, I do know that by average, they have the highest salaries in the world

I visited there in 1999 for three weeks (in Echternach) and enjoyed every single minute of it.

I was attempting to get a transfer there myself at the last company I worked for.

If you have the opportunity, and it fits with your life now, you should grab it. It's a wonderful place.

The salaries in Luxembourg are very good but I remember reading (several years ago, so this may be out of date) that pretty much the entire expat community heads home every Friday, so the social life is a bit dead.

The best thing you can do to find out more is to see if you can find a website or forum geared to expats living in the country.
