A Wii would be pretty sweet. Already got a PSP that I have to fight my children over to play.

Don't suppose I could ask to have my house paid off, could I?

Merry X-mas!

iPod? iPhone? How in heck can anyone associated with FOSS support those products?

For media playback I would want:

MEIZU MiniPlayer 2.4" Black 4GB MP3 Player (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16855625003) or its larger brother MEIZU MiniPlayer 2.4" Black 8GB MP4 Player (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16855625005) or if video playback was not of concern the iAUDIO 7 1.3" Silver 4GB MP3 Player I7-04SL (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16855228010) would work nicely under the tree.

I would NOT ever by an Apple product.

As for me personally... I just need new pants.

A pencil would work just as well. The US spent tons of money on a pen that would work in space. The USSR just used pencils.

I just got $250 for Christmas. That went towards a $800 carport. I did order myself 2 meraki mini wireless internet nodes. Now I can put my computer elsewhere without running tons of cable. They should get to me soon.

I would like about $500 in CDs. I got my sights on a Led Zeppelin set and 20 or 30 other CDs. I only have about 40 right now.

Assist all the locals with their numerous pc problems and recover the old machines they all seem to have lying around.
Buy some cheap parts from online and turn those old machines into PC`s that even the old owners,with their shiney new machines can only but marvel at.
Thats what i`d just been doing for the last 22 months that we`ve owned a pc.:)

Had everything from the first really old 550Mhz machine with m.e on it, through to the latter 3.2Ghz thing with XP.Not had a Vista machine yet although i have had Vista,for a short while anyway.
I am now using one built from new but the others still in use (3xDesktops & 2x Laptops) are all ones i`ve revived myself along the way.
All the older desktops are 1.8-3.2Ghz machines,with mostly 512Mb of ram and added gfx cards but they`ve all been more than adequate.

I only bought myself some shiney new parts because i was jealous of all the gadgets & gizmos the kids got for Xmas.......and the fact that i cant really get my hands on the things.I managed last year but this year i crumbled:-\"
I was once very close to being PCWorld fodder though so i`m ever so thankful to all those old machines.....and places like this of course:)

Now that i think about it one of our old desktops and one of our laptops are both again off to good homes... very soon.
Both running better with their fresh XP(legite) installs than any "Vista capable" thing they could possibly afford to go out and buy.

I want everything from the poll plus normal PC (mine's very very old). Something like:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz (now - Intel P4 2.40GHz)
DDR2-800 Transcend Kit 2GB (now - DDR-400 512MB)
HDD Western Digital >= 750GB SATA2 (now - 80GB)
XFX GF 8800GTS 512MB "Apha Dog Edition" (now - inno3D GeForce 7300GT 256MB)
DELL LCD >= 19" and faster than 8ms (now - DELL 1700FP 17" LCD (30ms ?!?))

Of course, I can't even think of having a PC like that, because in Bulgaria you work for about $400 per month and everything here is so expensive (for us). :cry::cry::cry:

Being a good tight Scotsman....living in London....everything here is also soooo expensive(for us).:)

Sorry,i should`nt make such light because i know better than anyone just how fortunate we are in life.
Our own perceived mis-fortunes kinda pale into obscurity with those of others around the world.

I do hope everyones New Year brings them better tidings....or better pc`s if that be their wish.The old ones are just as good though so dont worry about it.It`s trivial.
