Hi.
Google advertises they are hiring Ubuntu experts.
Does it mean they will find their way to impale us their disguised under-the-table crapware as 'doubleclick' and many more as they do with Windows?

Or are we already? :(

IIRC, google uses Ubuntu internally as a desktop OS. They might need Ubuntu developers to customize it to their needs. (and they'll hopefully try to merge these improvements back into Ubuntu, as they're doing with MySQL).

google has never released adware.

its " dataminingware, spyware, crapware, invasiveware" (i.e., dial homes) only ever extend to usage statistics on the desktop.

what is your problem with the most progressive IT company in the world taking an active interest in this distro?

Google is not the Internet, and AFAIK they don't make spyware. ^.^

I, for one, welcome our new Ubuntu-based overlords.

Google is one of the few companies with a large enough pull on the technology market, and the financial means to actually compete with the other big guns. I hope they have much success in the spreading of any open source software.
