Yeah I have been starting to notice that all the user groups from what i have seen have been up more north. I havnt seen any down south and i have seem to find anyone else in my community they even knows what linux or ubuntu is. Are there any texas user groups at all. If there is please post but i can trying to get ubuntu to more popular. Thanks :guitar:

I'm in San Antonio, Texas.
I converted several of my district's Windows computer labs to Ubuntu.
So, you could say that there are several hundred young Texans up and coming with knowledge of Linux as we speak.
I would look into the AITP in your area. Association of IT professionals.
Also, there is definitely a satlug. Nothing like that in Dallas?

One wouldn't exactly call Alabama NORTH, however the loco is still 400 miles north of me.

hmm i found some linux user groups but they sort of have older people like 30-70 i am trying to find some news ones but cant seem to find some

I lived in Texas for 12 years, I really miss the 24/7 Walmart superstore, the Grapevine Mills mall, AMC 24 theatre and Taco bell. They don't have anything close to that in Switzerland. :(
