I'm currently trying to source a 60's Vespa but they are a bit hard to find, Lambrettas are just about impossible to find over here.

Interesting question. I have long felt that there is a commonality of thought in ubuntu and scooter use, especially in an automobile dominated society. Got my bike license over 30 years ago and wanted a scooter ever since. I just decided that it will be my 50th birthday present to myself. Wife does not understand it but then she doesn't understand my interest in linux.

Yesterday a workmate asked if I wanted to buy his wifes Vespa. This week I may bite. I do not do it to save the planet; but I hope to be a bit better of a caretaker. Hope the scoot partially pays for itself with gas saving compared to my sedan.

i'm currently living in vietnam for a while, so i'm on the market for a motobike of some sort but i haven't done any shopping around yet. i think a honda wave (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Wave_series), or something similar, will be the best in my price range. i may look into a used vespa though.

Rode bikes for a while when I was younger but haven't owned one for a years.

Don't really have the weather to get the best out of a Scooter, but I would really like to get one.
Just have to find an excuse to sneak it past the domestic funding committee (wife) :D
