This shows that there's a market for open source alternatives, and hopefully we will see more of this in the future. As long as the Open Source community let the companies know that we exist, in the end they have to react.

Good news, but I can't help feel it's just a publicity stunt to keep open source developers interested in Flash rather than MS Silverlight (the open-source, Mono version of which is called Moonlight). I think it will certainly help boost the Gnash project though.
