Kubuntu gears up for KDE 4 (http://arstechnica.com/journals/linux.ars/2007/12/13/kubuntu-gears-up-for-kde-4)

Only a small assortment of KDE 4 applications will be included by default in Kubuntu 8.04 (which is scheduled for release in April), but those who wish to use KDE 4 by default in Kubutnu 8.04 will be able to use special experimental CD images that will be issued on a daily basis.

I didnt get the basic idea of this, why they cant include KDE4 by default!

Stability. KDE4 will still be a noob, and as 8.04 will be an LTS, I think they want a more tested and stable DE for Kubuntu, that being KDE 3.5.x.

As a LTS release, Hardy cannot afford to use KDE4 which will defiantly have many bugs for a while.

Its for the best really, I personally rather have proven stable apps then possibly horribly unstable ones

I got your point. I forgot it was an LTS release. That makes it clear!
